Bang On The Ear, have been entertaining audiences all over Canada since the band's formation in 2007. Fronted by husband and wife, Bradley & Michelle McMillan, they have built a strong following placing emphasis on combining the sounds of traditional Irish music and fusing it with Folk, Roots, Rock, and that Glengarry County sound that has made the area's music so popular over the past 50 years. They have had their music featured on Radio, Internet radio & podcasts all over the world, as well as being featured in popular Folk, Irish, & Scottish magazines and local T.V . They have played for Canadian & world dignitaries, Top Chefs, T.V celebrities and more from around the world. To Date, they have released 1 E.P , 4 full-length albums and 2 compilation albums. Having written and recorded more than 30 pieces of original material, they have garnered much acclaim for their songwriting skills in the folk music community.
With 500 plus live performances under their belt, the group's popularity and demand has grown immensely in recent years to include performances at the Glengarry Highland Games, Canada's Irish Festival, The Almonte Celtic Festival, Ottawa's Octoberfest, Ottawa Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, The Russell Celtic Festival, Rideau Carleton Raceway Casino, The 7th Annual World Education Festival, Ottawa's Baconpalooza and The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival and more. The band has toured through Canada's East Coast, Ontario & Quebec many times through having shared the stage with Ashley MacIssac, The Trews, Jimmy Rankin, The Mudmen, Signal Hill, Shanneygnock, The Mahones, Joey Kitson (Rawlins Cross) & The Makem and Spain Brothers to name a few.
